Congratulations Cottesloe!
Not even scorching temperatures could keep away the record-smashing team at Cottesloe, who managed to beat Bondi’s 2011 record with an astounding 2088 people in the water on Giant Havaianas.
Aussie spirit was in fine form this year with 5,226 people taking to the water and over $55,000 raised to support the SLSC Nippers.
For the first time ever, we also saw hundreds of Backyard Events taking place in pools, rivers, yards and dams across the country!
A special mention must go to Mooloolaba who experienced dangerous weather conditions that lead to their event being cancelled, fingers crossed for next year!
